Short-term Working Allowance, Prohibition of Termination and Unpaid Leave Periods are extended for 1 Month

Through the Presidential Decisions numbered 2810 and 2811, published in the Official Gazette dated 31.07.2020 and numbered 31202, the periods of short-term working allowance, prohibition of termination and unpaid leave practice are extended for one more month.

Through the Presidential Decision numbered 2706 published in the Official Gazette dated 30.06.2020, short-term working allowance period for the workplaces, which have applied for short-term working until 01.07.2020 due to force majeure Covid-19, was extended (i) for one month as of the end date of short-term working, for the workplace which continue short-term working and (ii) until 01.08.2020, for the workplaces whose short-term working had ended. Pursuant to the Presidential Decision numbered 2810, short-term working allowance period is extended for one more month starting from these dates mentioned above within the framework of the principles stated in the Presidential Decision numbered 2706.

Pursuant to the Presidential Decision numbered 2811, the periods for the unpaid leave practice and the prohibition of termination of all kinds of employment contracts, -except for termination due to the reasons contrary to ethics and good faith regulated under Article 25/1,(II) and the reasons included through the Law No. 7252 published in the Official Gazette dated 28.07.2020 - within the scope of Provisional Article of the Labor Law No. 4857 are extended for one more month starting from 17.08.2020.
