Alper Uzun has been promoted as Partner
We are very proud of announcing that Alper Uzun has been promoted as Partner, as of July 1, 2021.
He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2005 and completed his LL.M degree at Istanbul University Department of Financial Law. His master's thesis titled ‘Taxation of Business Partnerships under Turkish Law’ was published as a book.
Alper Uzun, who has experience in leading law firms in Turkey, joined the team of Erdem & Erdem in 2009. Mr. Uzun, who was appointed as a Partner after his successful work as Senior Associate and Managing Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department, provides representation and consultancy services to domestic and foreign clients in their daily issues, litigations, and legal disputes.
Alper Uzun primarily focuses on consultancy of legal disputes and litigations, determination of risks, enforcing the process of pre-adjudication and post-adjudication. Furthermore, he practices on pursuing the processes of bankruptcy and foreclosure, including suspention of bankruptcy and also liquidation after bankruptcy, proceedings of bankruptcy administrations, resolution of disputes within the scope of tax law, management and pursuit of the processes, evaluation of works and projects in terms of taxation.
He also provides assistance on legal transactions and status evaluation with regard to real estate and zoning law, dispute resolution and process management arising from employment issues, conducting legal evaluation and reporting on privatization, purchase, mergers and acquisitions matters, determination of risks in relation to disputes, recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions, and arbitration awards.
Moreover, he also provides services in the processes of resolution of disputes arising from sports law, representation of athletes and sports clubs, recognition and enforcement of foreign courts and arbitrator decisions.
In addition, Alper Uzun gives mediation services, as an official Mediator registered before the Ministry of Justice of the Turkish Republic.
