Measures taken by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources for the Mining Sector

With the public announcemenet dated 21.04.2020 (“Announcement”), the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced the measures taken regarding the mining sector due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In this context, miners’ declarations such as survey report, exploration project, activity report, business project, which are required to be submitted by the end of April, have been postponed until 30.09.2020.

Payment period for the state rights and license fees have been extented until 28.12.2020.

Declarations such as reports and projects which are required to be submitted by mining license holders and royalty holders located within Elazığ and Malatya who were directly affected by the earthquake occurred in such provinces on 24.01.2020, have been extended until 30.09.2020. In addition, the state rights and license fee payments required to be made by the foregoing have been postponed until 28.12.2020.
