The webinar titled "Cyber Security and Legal Compliance in Capital Markets" organized by the Turkish Capital Markets Association took place on Thursday, September 21 between 14.00 - 16.00. The webinar featured speakers Özgür Kocabaşoğlu, (Partner and Head of Corporate, Erdem & Erdem), Didem Adlığ Sönmez (Managing Associate, Erdem & Erdem) and Selçuk Tuna (Founding Partner, Arkheproject) and was moderated by Mahir Kubilay Dağlı (General Manager and Board Member of Eliptik Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş.)
In the webinar, the legal framework of cyber security in terms of capital markets was discussed within the scope of national and international legislation. The most common types of cyber-attacks on financial institutions and capital markets and the effects of these attacks on companies and investors were evaluated. Measures to be taken against cyber-attacks and examples of good practices were also shared with the participants.
