The thirteenth annual GAR Live: Istanbul Conference, organised by Global Arbitration Review (GAR), took place on 25 June 2026 at Çırağan Palace Kempinski, Istanbul. Sponsored by Erdem & Erdem, the conference brought together leading arbitration practitioners and legal professionals from Türkiye and across Europe.
Our Founder and Senior Partner, Prof. Dr. H. Ercüment Erdem, moderated the opening panel entitled “The Fundamentals: How Best to Address Key Procedural Issues Involving Memorials and Pleadings.” Bringing together distinguished arbitration practitioners, the session explored practical approaches to drafting Procedural Order No. 1 (PO1), procedural timetables, document production requests, witness statements, expert reports, as well as effective memorial and pleading strategies.
