Amendments Regarding Charging Services
The Regulation Amending the Charging Service Regulation entered into force through publication in the Official Gazette dated 28.07.2023 and numbered 32262 and the Regulation Amending the Regulation on Workplace Opening and Operating Licenses (Amending Regulations) entered into force through publication in the Official Gazette dated 29.07.2023 and numbered 32263.
The amendments to the Charging Service Regulation are as follows:
- The time period given to existing charging network operator license holders to establish a charging network was extended until 31.01.2024.
- It is regulated that legal entities whose charging network operator licenses are cancelled, shareholders holding 10% or more shares in this legal entity, chairman and members of the board of directors, including those who have resigned within one year prior to the date of license revocation, will not be able to obtain a charging network operator license, apply for a license, hold direct or indirect shares in legal entities applying for a license, and take part in the board of directors for three years following the license revocation.
The amendments to the Regulation on Workplace Opening and Operation Licenses are summarized below:
- Workplace opening and operation licenses are to be issued for stand-alone electric vehicle charging stations.
- For charging stations that will operate in other workplaces and collective structures other than stand-alone electric vehicle charging stations, the application form for electric vehicle charging station site selection and activity permit in the annex of the Regulation is filled out.
- Workplace opening and operation license is not required for stations with a site selection and operation permit.
