Public Private Partnerships (PPP’s)
Public-Private Partnership, known internationally as PPP, is a kind of financing model between public administrations and the private sector concerning infrastructure investments and/or services. Our lawyers successfully manage PPP projects in a variety of sectors, including extensive motorways, airports, marinas, and customs gates.
Since its foundation, as Erdem & Erdem we have been actively involved in special energy and infrastructure projects carried out with models such as Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), Build-Operate (BO), Build-Lease or Transfer of Operating Rights models. Our expert team, who also provided consultancy in the construction and financing processes of the first private infrastructure investments in Turkey, has represented local and global clients who are sponsors, developers, lenders, equity investors and multilateral agencies.
Recently PPP projects in Turkey have gained a new dimension with integrated health campuses. Erdem & Erdem has been mandated to represent the developer in the project financing of the construction and operation of the first ever PPP project in the Turkish healthcare sector. This project, valued at approximately € 330 million, is for the design, construction and management (of non-core services) of the new 1,500 bed, Kayseri Integrated Health Campus.
